A contest entry for *IldRev's contest!

I had sososo much fun drawing this ahhh ;u; And I used PS's filters to create a nice color palette for the picture ^^
I really need to improve on my shading Dx It looks so... messy

The grass took 1 hour and shading took around 2 hours xP Most of it was experimenting :3
Made a super thin lineart for this picture then deleted some of it in the end for a more realistic look :3
And the character is just beautiful *__*

Good:

This is just breathtakingly amazing! <3 The anatomy, fur, and expression of the fox are just perfect x3 The blue-purpley sky is a relaxing touch to the picture

The pose of the fox lying down is good, too :3 Good job on the shading and light reflection!

Things you can improve:

The sakuras are beautiful, but in need of more leaves and flowers. The grass looks a bit messy, in my opinion - and sort of too thick

I'm not much of a critique person, plus I can't find much fault with this well-done pic x3 Overall, this is just awesome!

Wow this is wonderful. The coloring and shading is pretty good but it seems to lack depth. The composition is pretty good and it's balanced.

Depth is kind of hard to explain... hmm I guess it depends on what is in front of our view and what is in the background. In this drawing things seem to be flat. They're in the same "ground" in this case it's the middle ground.

There's not much in background, and nothing in the foreground.

Details grow less and less the more far back something is. Like a grassland in the background, you're not going to see every detail of the grass.

A critique Hooray!!

Okay! Here goes!

Good Stuff:
The pose is good and that anatomy is great too! The thin lines really match this style a lot and complement the fur strokes. The shading looks great in most places, but you could clean it up a bit. The eye looks lovely and I love the pink-ish moon/sun in it, and the colors are lovely too!

Stuff you can work on:
The grass needs a bit of work, it needs to be thinner and the light direction looks messy on them. The sakura is very pretty but needs more flowers and a few leaves. Try looking at photos to help you! The shading looks dusty in some places and the light direction is a little confusing in places.

Overall: Fantastic! Work on the shading and backgrounds!~
